CONTRA MUNDUM
Mindsets Against This World
A Daystar Masterpiece On Diligence
Faith and prosperity are married principles that cannot be divorced over a simple misunderstanding of what they mean.
Jesus is the greatest personality that ever walked amongst men, and His exemplary character and leadership speaks volumes. You would notice on several occasions, He categorised His mission to earth as a form of work. He often said, “I must work the works of Him that sent me while it is day,” choosing the term work, also translated as business in the Greek.
As it is a requirement for a business to constitute strategic players, Jesus is seen not to have chosen religious Levites or zealots as part of His disciples. Rather, His chosen were men who knew how to take risks—people whose lives were spent beyond themselves. The call of Elisha is no different; the pattern is clear that God does not reward idleness with a call to greatness.
Now, as disciples of Christ Jesus, remember that God cherishes progressives, risk-takers, and innovators. These qualities are important to God. It is time to quit laziness and add value to your Father’s world. Take charge. Start something. Make the move. Get out of your comfort zone, and the Lord will amplify the sound of your steps. Now is the time. Put God on display wherever you are—that is ministry.
Over and over again, we see that the laws of this world often stand in opposition to God’s system of success. God’s perspective differs strongly from the human standpoint. Where stonewalls signal a halt, the Lord declares a way for His people.
Let no one discourage you in your pursuits. Anything is possible if you believe. God is the architect of greatness and is known to leave the 99% in a successful state for the sake of the lost 1%—though the world often presents the opposite narrative, idolizing the 1% and ignoring the 99%. Whether you are part of the ninety-nine or the one, there is hope for you.
In all these conflicting systems, whose report will you believe? Make that decision quickly, because we live in a deceptive world.
Training for mastery takes time, but waiting is not idleness—it is preparation. Interestingly, waiting is one of the greatest investments and a wise use of time.
While you wait, arm yourself with knowledge as your defense. Jesus warned us to be wise as serpents, filled with divine intelligence. Only by knowledge shall the righteous be delivered—this is what the Scriptures teach.
In whatever you do, get knowledge so you would not have to do it twice. Success leaves clues—research and learn. A mindset against all odds will surmount every stonewall. Like Joseph, be that fruitful vine that goes over the wall. Recognize no boundaries. Leap!
