Gambling, A MODERN TERM FOR GREED
This Is GREED Dressed Up In Entertainment.
The Bible may not directly use the modern term gambling or betting, but it clearly speaks against the spirit behind it — greed. Gambling is simply a contemporary expression of greed, a desire to acquire wealth without diligence or faith in God’s supply system. It is the act of submitting one’s joy, emotions, and trust to a game of chance, undermining the very principles through which God provides for His children.
LOSE MY NUMBER, is what you say to addictions of gambling, because it came to destroy your joy and trust in God — it is the enemy's fiendish strategy on God's farmland, where he strategically sows weeds designed to clogg your confidence in God.
Respond to God's word, and only pick up His call to liberty and freedom — at this juncture, the yuroba (a West African language) phrase “ΓdΓ¨ tΓ jΓ‘” (properly written with tone marks) comes to mind, which declares : “the chain is broken” or “bondage has been broken.”
— Always remember the power-structure of a renewed mind, knowing Only God's Word should have primal access to you, especially in modulating your thirst for wealth and riches.
If you're already into this, remember there is absolutely nothing wrong with you as a child of God — yes, If you have the right information about yourself from God's Word, you'll realise from that mirror that nothing is wrong with you, but if you ever have the wrong information, and you think on it, you'd then be forced to think SOMETHING IS WRONG with you, because now SOMETHING WRONG (a wrong information) is with you.
Renew your mind, let go of this wrong information on getting rich quickly, so that you'll have nothing wrong with you. Hasty decisions and pressure make regrets inevitable. Never forget this!
You deserve freedom and peace of mind because it's your inheritance in Christ Jesus — it's time to move on from the damage gambling has inflicted on you, your relationships and family, and don't allow your mind to swim through the infected pool of the past.
Pull out quickly, set your mind on things that encourage you, knowing very well it's possible to end this rot of a skill. Yes, mistakes do happen, but move on, and don't register citizenship in a world God has forgotten.
God is love, and love keeps no records of wrongdoings. Your mind is the seat of your vehicle (spirit) through this world : it wouldn't always be cushions, sometimes it'll be thorny due to mistakes of the past, but do not dwell (rest) on the thorns. You're a king, and therefore deserve freedom and a sound mind, and this right here is available for you in Christ Jesus, today. Hallelujah.
Be confident in God's love for you and you'll never waver. The enemy will always highlight that one thing to seem to be the problem, forsaking the many blessings that are actively working. Just like he did in the garden by making that one tree the highlight, he made that one thing God said look like the problem, taking their eyes off the many trees God gave them access to. Learn to be grateful, it's your victory over discouragement.
It is time to build on instructions from God's word concerning wealth, and do well not to form your own style of prosperity and wealth. Your innovative ideas should be based (founded) on what you've been asked to do in what stands forever, thus, God's Word.
Scripture repeatedly warns against this mindset. Proverbs 28:22 (KJV) declares, “He that hasteth to be rich hath an evil eye, and considereth not that poverty shall come upon him.” The Message (MSG) puts it plainly: “A miser in a hurry to get rich doesn’t know that he’ll end up broke.” Likewise, the New Living Translation (NLT) reads, “Greedy people try to get rich quick but don’t realize they’re headed for poverty.”
Proverbs 15:27 (MSG) reinforces this truth: “Greed can destroy a family, but honest living brings life.” Greed, therefore, is not a harmless impulse; it is a destructive force that corrodes character, relationships, and ultimately one’s faith in God.
Hebrews 13:5 (MSG) further exhorts us: “Keep your life free from the love of money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, ‘I will never fail you. I will never abandon you.’” This is the divine standard of contentment and trust.
True wealth in the Kingdom is not obtained by chance but by the assurance of truth — through faith, obedience, and stewardship of what God entrusts to you. Gambling, then, is not merely a game; it is a spiritual error that replaces dependence on God with dependence on luck. It is greed dressed in entertainment.
