CITIES DIFFER IN SIZES AND GRACE | PART II

CITIES DIFFER IN SIZES AND GRACE | AND IS WHY YOU MUST HIGHLY ESTEEM THE WORDS OF YOUR PASTOR AND LEADERS AS GOOD SHEPHERDS

PART II

In Exodus 2:1-3 narrates,

“And a man of the house of Levi went and took as wife a DAUGHTER OF LEVI.

So the woman CONCEIVED and bore a son. And when she saw that he was a beautiful child, SHE HID HIM THREE MONTHS.

But when she could no longer hide him, SHE TOOK AN ARK of bulrushes for him, daubed (caulked) it with asphalt and pitch, put the child in it, and laid it in the REEDS by the river’s bank”.

Most of what I do were prophecies and words of instructions received from my Pastor and leaders. If you someday have the privilege of meeting any of my associates in the ministry, you can ask them what drives us, it's simple, we ride on prophecy and instructions, and that is why I do not want, and why I'm not poor and helpless as a minister, because I listen and follow, it's as simple as that. Jesus said “I do what I see my father do”. I just do what the bible says to do!

Our opening verse explains something very important, it mentions two levites who were productive in the institution of marriage, with the underlying factor being the seed (the sperm received by the woman, typic of the bride of Christ). And knowledge from the scriptures state the fact that levites are the priestly clan. And even in Egypt (specifically Goshen), bible says while darkness covered Egypt, there was light in the camp of the levites, the priest. Meaning there's productivity and clarity wherever priesthood is recognised and established.

People who struggle with being productive are persons who take the words of their Pastor (Priest) and leaders lightly. Remember what Jesus said, “the word of God is the seed”. This means if you learn to value the words of your pastor and leaders more than you do with motivational speakers and serial politicians, you'll conceive like that levite and bring forth results in the ministry.

John 6:21 states this amazing incident, it says

“Then they willingly received Jesus into the boat, and immediately the boat was at the land where they were going”.

Anytime the Lord joined a boat, the vessel reached its destination immediately, think about that. Something happens to you each time you receive the words (seed) of your leader with meekness of heart, your progress will be lightyears worth of results, and it'll all read in a moment.

Listen, there's seed time, but never did the bible say harvest time, because the seed in itself has all the catalyst to sprout in a day, if not the scriptures wouldn't say "shall a nation be born in a day, but when Zion travailed , God's city, she brought forth". It's not about how early you got to hear what I'm telling you, natural time doesn't matter in the spirit, it's about the readiness of heart with which you receive these words as seeds of faith.

Verse 3 of our opening verse from the BBE Version recounts,

“And when she was no longer able to keep him secret, she made him a basket (ark) out of the stems of water-plants, pasting sticky earth over it to keep the water out; and placing the baby in it she put it among the plants by the edge of the Nile”

Once you're brought out of hiding like Moses, you can't survive without a basket, this basket are words of instructions like the ark Noah built in Genesis.

Influence comes with floods like the overflowing Nile, a single-way flow, meaning you need a security on the torrential waters and billows of hatred that comes with public attention. And it's by the words of your leader that you're sustained out of hiding. Hence your leader is so crucial at every stage of your life, he heals your desires from destruction.

Psalms 107:20 says “He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions”.

The Nile is surrounded by desserts on both sides, and since our subject of coming out of hiding stems on this verse, we need to understand what this desertification means.

Desert on both sides of the Nile implies you're not allowed to look to your left nor right for help, you have to look up once you come out of hiding, you have to look up to the sun of righteousness as a tree of righteousness. When Noah built the ark, he was instructed not to put windows on the sides of the ark, but only at the top, the roof above. This was so important, so they don't look to the left or the right for help, but instead, to look up to the Lord who delivers from destruction.

Leaders help you to wait in hiding, because it's those that wait who end up mounting up with wings like the eagle, that's what the bible says. So until you learn to wait, you won't do much in the ministry and with the grace of God on your life. Honor the prophecies and instructions of your Pastor and leaders, receive what they give you as seeds, it's so important for your parade out of hiding. Leaders use the hammer of God's word to break the shell of wait, so you come out of hiding and soar. O' Hallelujah!

True leaders are equipped to bring you out of hiding, but this won't happen if you're not a student of the word of God in their mouth. According to the verse above, there's a time where your leader can't hide you anymore. The prophet told the widow, "separate the jars that get filled with oil", implying there's a time you'll be separated for a purpose and standard. Like Isacchar, leaders know how to detect the times and seasons of your promotion, and when you can now handle the world before you, shepherds are too important, be careful how you regard them!

Song of Songs 2:11-12 |TPT reads,

“THE SEASON HAS CHANGED, the bondage of your barren winter has ended, and THE SEASON OF HIDING IS OVER and gone. The rains have soaked the earth and left it bright with blossoming flowers. The season for singing and pruning the vines has arrived. I hear the cooing of doves in our land, filling the air with songs to awaken you and guide you forth”.

Verse 13 says “There is change in the air (spirit)”. This is why leaders are important in our lives, they signal us of imminent promotions, they signal us of change, and with the Word of God and prophecy in their mouth, they say to us “the season for hiding is over and gone, so come out”. Wow!

The statement “... put the child in the ark (basket), and laid it in the reeds by the river’s bank” speaks of the discipline and commitment to the word of God.

Reed is a plant of the grass species used for making flute, a musical instrument. And the verse says this reed was from the river bank. This means once you come out of hiding, you need to release the joyful sound, which is unknown tongues, and it should come out of your belly, from which flows rivers of living waters as Jesus rightly stated. A man who doesn't have the discipline of speaking in tongues has no business with influence and leadership.

Moses was hid because He was a proper child. Listen, it's because you're so gifted that you're still in hiding. Your leader isn't denying you anything good, he's rather separating you from too bright a light that can blind you at that age of maturity. So just grow, and you'd realise it's your Father's love for keeping you in hiding. Never be in a rush for public attention if you respect the call of God on your leader. Bible says they that believe are never in a hurry [Isaiah 28:16], so relax and grow.

Then your leader by the wisdom of God, will bring you out of hiding. It could be by way of a simple instruction, a correction, a new responsibility, and that is the proof of your progress.

At one time Jesus told His disciples not to go to the gentile world to minister, but just before His ascension He said to them anew, "all power in heaven and on earth has been given to me, so now go into all the world". Wow, that's amazing and intriguing. This means there's a time to withdraw from public attention to some extent, until you have what it takes as a strong city to wield power to your advantage as a servant-leader.

Your leader's role is so crucial in your outdooring as a proper (blessed and great) child. This is what Paul meant by “they watch for your souls”, meaning they watch over greatness, so don't take your Pastor and leaders lightly. Step back and don't interfere with their authority, and let them determine when to bring you out of hiding, better to be kept away from an unforgiving crowd than to be scarred with traumatic experiences only because you refused to listen to your leader.

Let me site one such instance where the words of your Pastor can bring your leadership as a cell leader or fellowship leader out of hiding. He can just give you a verse like Exodus 1:22, which says “So Pharaoh commanded all his people (not just the midwifes), saying, “Every son who is born you shall cast into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive.”

Then he'll explain to you these words that will lead your leadership out of hiding, he'll say,

“When you give instructions to people you expect to carry it out and they don't respond, dust off your feet and move to the next city like Jesus said to do, get others involved in the banquet and you'd be amazed what you'll do with those mighty men.

When those supposed to deliver (midwife) results slack in doing so, you don't waste time, you're to fill the available vessels with oil and then you'd understand what grace means. The least of all is where grace is expressed, Paul said same. This is very important in the ministry, and that is how you'd come out of hiding”.

And by these simple words of instruction from your Pastor and leaders, you'll find out your leadership has suddenly mount up with wings out of hiding, prepared for a take off to your next level. Value leaders and recognise their differing capacities of grace. Wow!
