 FREEDOM FROM SEXUAL DECADENCE & SENSUAL DIFFICULTIES

Psalms 34:18-20, CPDV  

    “The Lord is near to those who are troubled in heart, and he will save the humble in spirit. Many are the afflictions of the just (righteous, the child of God), but from them all the Lord will free them. The Lord preserves all of their bones, not one of them shall be broken”.

Did it ever occur to you that the Lord (the lover of your soul) is nearer to you than that glistening skin you have, did you know that irrespective of what you have done or the troubles (afflictions) you face (experience) in this flesh, He's decided to stay faithful to you eternally, taking responsibility for all your actions : by way of offering continuous help and supply of grace : so get up again, there's grace for you to stand, get up, and on time, lest satan should take advantage of you! 

The Psalmist admits “Many are the afflictions of the just (righteous, the child of God), but from them all the Lord will free them” — Rejoice because this is true, irrespective of the numerous count of the challenges you face, the Lord is your strength, you'll experience freedom from that addiction in no time!

The disciple Jesus loved admits in 1 John 3:20, BBE “When our heart says that we have done wrong (condemning us) ; because God is greater than our heart, and has knowledge of all things” — prior to this writing, Chapter 1:7 recounts “But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin” — now what is light? 

Light is that which describes a thing, the same function of knowledge, meaning God's knowledge is a quality of light, the highest light actually, that describes who you are and how God sees you — when you walk in the light as He is in the light, it becomes easier to fellowship and relate with the opposite sex without succumbing to the temptation of sex — Paul told young Pastor Timothy to treat the young ladies in the faith as sisters, he was giving the young man a quality of light that reveals value in sisters in Christ. Worldly light (knowledge and thinking) preys on people, God's light (Word) protects the family! 

Did you know that your true family is the Church, Paul called it “the household (family) of faith” — hence, Sex amongst God's children (in the house of God outside marriage) should be treated with disdain like incest, because it truly is, we are family. Let this provoke you to report people who repeatedly defile your sisters (ladies in Christ). Be different, don't be carnally minded, don't support evil in the house of God — bible says “the companion (friend) of a fool (evil doers, deviants and molester) will be destroyed”, not the fool but his companion (thus, you)! — Aaron suffered the consequence of Moses' disobedience because he was considered an accomplice, though he himself did nothing wrong! — standing aloof and unconcerned at a crime scene makes you an accomplice, an accessory of crime, remember that. 

Aaron was not allowed to enter the Promised Land as a form of punishment, due to the incident at Meribah (Strife, Quarrels) ,where they disobeyed God's instructions. Though Aaron himself did not directly perform the action of disobedience, he was considered by God an accomplice, deserving of the vicarious death on Mount Hor — let's now look at what Jesus has done for us in this light : Aaron (a shadow of the Christ, because His name meant "Light bringer"), though he didn’t perform the action of disobedience, was considered by God an ACCOMPLICE [SIN, NOT THE SINNER], deserving of the vicarious death on Hor (typic of the cross, the tree) — in like manner, never judge yourself for what you do, Jesus took away every weakness you'll ever face, He took it, rejoice because you're free. Wow!

Understanding the concept of afflictions will help you appreciate how patient God is towards you in His Fatherly role — take for instance a stone chipping that fell through your socks to your heels, you could imagine the discomfort and continued pain that will aggravate, this right here is the concept of afflictions — According to English Lexicon, afflictions are the cause of continued pain of body or mind, as sickness or losses, an instance of grievous distress; a pain or grief. It is also a state of great suffering and distress due to adversity. 

Now pay close attention to the conclusive word “adversity” used in this precise definition — Proverbs 24:10, then informs us “If you faint (give up and fall ) in "the day of adversity (temptation and trouble)", your strength (wisdom and strategy of escape) is small (eclipsed and hidden)” — adversity is a day of trouble, Jeremiah 30:7 puts it this way “... the time of Jacob's trouble; BUT HE SHALL BE SAVED OUT OF IT”. Wow, Hallelujah!.

Remember, Jacob is the humanness of the name Israel, though both names refer to the same person, the first reveals his human nature, the one susceptible to doing the wrong thing : this is the name responsible for deceiving his brother Esau, for the blessing of Isaac their Father — Isaiah 9:8 explains this further, saying “The Lord sent a word (the power for change) into Jacob (his humanness and weak personality), and it hath lighted (change landed and showed up) upon Israel (as His divine nature)”.. — God's focus is to change you from within, He is targeting your "Jacob nature", to attack that carnal nature and taste that promotes and enjoys fornication, ponography or adultery. Never forget this, God's word is programmed to change your operating system permanently, from within! 

You could actually walk in the power of God but still be lacking wisdom (practical knowledge) on how to stand firm and resilient. And that's why we need one another so we can talk things out as God's people, don't hide behind that curtain of difficulty or shame, don't isolate (quarantine) yourself because you're not sick nor infected, it's the flesh that's under attack : you're simply facing fierce storms in your emotions : Paul described our need for openness as “confessing (sharing) your faults (innate challenges) one to another for healing (a solution and reassurance of change)”. 

In Genesis, the ark of God landed on Mount ARARAT, a mount that is interpreted “the curse (difficulty) reversed : a precipitation (change of state) of curse (any difficulty) —

Listen, we have landed on the mountain of change, Zion. The ark : which is the Church of Jesus Christ has landed on the mountain (city) of change — make up your mind, that by the end of your reading of this precious article, the power of change will envelope your whole being, knowing that every difficulty would have been answered and reversed. Wow!

Did you know, that Impact or change starts from within, then it smears (settles) on the outside (your emotions and actions) : Change starts from within, let's look at these three instances in the Bible — Scripture says “Sarah laughed within herself”, “Lucifer said within himself”, “The woman with the blood issue said within herself” — this proves positive that outward change starts from within, from the place of firm decision and standing in God's word. 

Sexual Temptation is not a thing to be dealt with lightly, especially for Christians who have committed themselves to serving the Lord, the flesh comes against you with a tsunami of unsatisfied emotions : it could become an affliction for the child of God if not managed properly with the word, it could get out of hand if you don't get a solution quickly. 

     “But now I’m writing to you so that you would exclude from your fellowship anyone who calls himself a fellow believer and practices sexual immorality, or is consumed with greed, or is an idolater, or is verbally abusive or a drunkard or a swindler. Don’t mingle with them or even have a meal with someone like that”. | ‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭5‬:‭11‬, TPT

The consequences of sexual temptation are quite severe and almost socially damaging because it's the process of sex that brings life into the world, God instituted it Himself and it is sacred to Him, hence it's not a playground for children.

Our thoughts (prevailing fantasies and consciousness) inform and dictates our actions, this implies you can always trace your fall into sexual decadence (the action) to what triggers the slip, the thought — 1 Samuel 2:3 informs us “... for the LORD is a God of knowledge (thoughts), and by him actions are weighed” — meaning the Lord is interested in your thoughts (the kind of sensual information dominating you), just as He's interested in your actions. 

Things get more difficult if you give the wrong thoughts (ideas and fantasies) a chance in your thinking, yes, it would seldom be difficult to walk away from sexual decadence, and that is why the bible says “run, flee youthful lust”, stand your ground when you say “no”, let your words mean more to you, then you'll find out it's easy to cast off every wrong trail of thought, on the foundation of God's word you'll always win, knowing the Holy Spirit is your ever present help. Praise God, Wow!
