Choose A Community Of Winners! —A Leaders Choicest Masterpiece
By ππΆππππΆπ π₯ππ»π
A leader must consciously choose a community of winners, thus ministers who choose God's word as their ultimate vision and drive in the ministry — when God's word becomes your prime dream and vision for ministry, there'll be no place for the devil to destroy your leadership — the Bible says “where there's no vision, the people perish”. It is in reference to God's word, meaning the absence of God's word (as your vision for ministry) is a freefall nosedive into worst case scenarios.
Cleave to the word because it is the right way to rise and fly in the ministry, any other way will end in a swift fall,
— you should be ready to fly with the right company of ministers, be proactive in choosing your flow, don't just adapt.
Choose your friends in the ministry, don't let them choose you, make a conscious effort to scrutinise and examine a minister's character through the filter of God's word before identifying with what he does and believes — whom you accept and open up to will set the pace for those you're leading.
Over these past few years, I've watched ministers of the gospel who started out well and sane in God's word — later I realised they steadily veered off track, teaching all sorts of dark doctrines, with some going as far as endorsing cultists and fetishism, identifying with these agents as friends.
King Saul was one such example of a leader who started out on a good note in the ministry (his service to God), not long after his coronation as God's representative to the people, he started to dabble with necromancers (persons who conjure up the dead) and exorcism — he willingly identified with things that tainted the beauty of God's anointing on his life.
1 Samuel 28:6-8,10-15,23-25 |MSB paraphrased narrates,
— “Saul prayed to God, but God didn't answer (at the time Saul desperately needed an answer) —neither by dream nor by sign nor by prophet. So Saul ordered his officials, "Find me someone who can call up spirits (the dead) so I may go and seek counsel from those (dead) spirits." His servants said, "There's a witch (one of a fiendish nature) at Endor."
— Saul disguised himself by putting on different clothes (as if he was not a leader). Then, taking two men (his associate ministers) with him, he went under the cover of night to the woman and said, "I want you to consult a ghost (the dead) for me. Call up the person I name."
— Saul swore solemnly, "As God lives, you won't get in any trouble for this." The woman (witch) said, "So whom do you want me to bring up?" (Saul answered) "Samuel. Bring me Samuel."
— When the woman saw Samuel, she cried out loudly to Saul, "Why did you lie to me? You're Saul!" The king told her, "You have nothing to fear ...but what do you see?" "I see a spirit ascending from the underground."
— "And what does he look like?" Saul asked. "An old man ascending, robed like a priest." Saul knew it was Samuel. HE (THE MINISTER OF GOD) FELL DOWN, face to the ground, AND WORSHIPED (THE DEAD).
— Samuel said to Saul, "Why have you disturbed me by calling me up?"
"Because I'm in deep trouble," said Saul. "The Philistines are making war against me and GOD (who called me into ministry) (I think He) HAS DESERTED ME —HE DOESN'T ANSWER ME ANY MORE, either by prophet or by dream. And so I'M CALLING ON YOU (FROM THE DEAD) TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO (IN THE MINISTRY).
— Saul dropped to the ground, felled like a tree, TERRIFIED BY SAMUEL'S (A DEAD MAN'S) WORDS. THERE WASN'T AN OUNCE OF STRENGTH (GOD'S WORD) LEFT IN HIM —he'd eaten nothing all day and all night. The woman, realizing that he was in deep shock, said to him, "Listen to me. I did what you asked me to do, put my life in your hands in doing it, carried out your instructions to the letter. IT'S YOUR TURN TO DO WHAT I (THE WITCH) TELL YOU (THE MINISTER OF GOD) :
— LET ME (THE WITCH) GIVE YOU SOME FOOD (SATISFACTION, A STRATEGY FOR MINISTRY). EAT (USE) IT. It will give you strength so you can get on your way."
— HE (THE MINISTER OF GOD) REFUSED. "I'm not eating anything." But when HIS SERVANTS (ASSOCIATE LEADERS WHOM HE LED ASTRAY) JOINED THE WOMAN (WITCH) IN URGING (ENCOURAGING) HIM (GOD'S MINISTER ON WHAT TO DO),
— he (Saul) gave in to (followed) their pleas, picked himself up off the ground, and sat on the bed.
— The woman (witch) moved swiftly. She butchered a grain-fed calf she had, and took some flour, kneaded it, and baked some flat bread. THEN SHE (THE WITCH) SERVED IT ALL UP FOR SAUL (THE MINISTER OF GOD) AND HIS SERVANTS (ASSOCIATES IN THE MINISTRY).
— After dining handsomely (with the witch), they got up from the table and were on their way (to do ministry) that same night”.
Saul the minister of God alongside his associates, sat and ate food prepared by a witch. He had quickly forgotten the word of God in Exodus 22:18 |AMP, which says “You shall not allow a woman to live who practices sorcery (witchcraft)”. The KJV translation says “thou shalt not suffer a witch to live”,
— he walked in blatant error because he didn't know the scriptures (what God accepts for ministry).
In Matthew 22:29 |NIV Jesus replied,
“You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or (the gospel) the power of God ”.
Saul had nurtured his taste buds to thirst for dark knowledge, he now found pleasure in the words of the dead instead of waiting patiently on the living God — his path in ministry was no different from Solomon who endured idol worship, even marrying women who believed in false gods — these two ministers failed to re-present God like He wanted.
Refuse to be like this— excellence in ministry is a choice, it's not a special gift given to a selected few — decide do stay with the Word, don't stray from what it says — let patience have it's full work in you, don't be in a rush to get answers from the wrong sources,
— James 1:4 |NKJV says “But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing”.
Always be patient in receiving answers from God, His time is always the right time because He takes into account when you're prepared to receive what He to offer — God doesn't give you what you want, He allows you to access what you're prepared to handle.
Remember this also, that there's no light (accurate knowledge) in the kingdom (camp) of darkness, so anything from there which appears to you as an enlightenment is nothing but a trap destined to destroy you in the ministry.
Saul's model of leadership as the first king of Israel has so much to teach us — as the first king meant he didn't have predecessors to learn from, hence he went to study the ways (governing skills and customs) of Kings ruling ungodly nations, he accepted their model for ministry in the stead of God's expectations.
What a sad way for a minister of God to fall and end in the ministry — And it was in view of these instances where people compromise resistance to dark knowledge that Apostle Paul in 1 Corinthians 10:20 |NLT wrote this epistle to heartily warn the Church in Corinth,
— “...... And I don't want any of you to be partners (have fellowship, nor be in agreement) with demons”.
Saul was overcome with evil because of his tolerance and fellowship with devils, this was enough to cost his focus in the ministry, he lost his office to another as a result of this — the bible says "resist (reject) the devil and he'll flee from you",
— God wants you to fly so high in the ministry, but He prefers you rise with ministers who are also under the sole influence of His word, because that's the safest place to be in the ministry, the place of God's Word.
My dear, fly with the right company in the ministry, don't tag along ignorantly.
Let's have a look at Amos 3:3 from multiple versions. It's a guide for whom you should walk with in the ministry,
— “Do two walk together except they make an appointment and have agreed?“ [AMP]
— “Do two people walk hand in hand IF THEY AREN'T GOING TO THE SAME PLACE? ” [MSB]
— “Can two walk together, except they be agreed?” [KJV]
— “Do two walk together UNLESS THEY HAVE AGREED to do so?” [NIV]
— “Can two people walk together without agreeing on the direction?” [NLT]
Highlighting the passage from the Message Bible (MSB) translation, we're told — “Do two people walk hand in hand IF THEY AREN'T GOING TO THE SAME PLACE? ”
— implying that the company you keep as a minister of the gospel is your voice and response on how well you want to end in the ministry.
Refuse to agree with ministers whose choice of knowledge and ideas about ministry leads you on the path of selfishness, deceit, thievery, condoning immorality and greed — such a company will destroy and waste you in due time.
In Isaiah 60:8 |AMP, the prophet had a glimpse into the state of the Church of Jesus Christ long before she was brought forth. And from that amazing sight and vision, he asked,
— “Who are these (new creatures and ministry leaders) who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?”
The word "windows" in the Hebrew is the feminine noun "'ărubb-âh" (ΧΧ¨Χּ-Χ), and it's a revelation of God's grace— I'll explain that shortly.
When a noun is feminised, it also reveals the character trait of productivity which is attributed to a female — when the name "sarai" was changed to "Sarah", the fifth letter of the Hebrew alphabet "hey" was introduced into her name, represented by the anglicised letter "h" (Χ).
The letter "H" (Χ) has different implications based on where they appear,
— as a prefix, it becomes a definite article "the". Prefixive Hey when brought before the word "ish" (a man - ΧΧΧ©) becomes "ha-ish" (the man - ΧΧΧΧ©). "Hey" (h, Χ) can also change the meaning of a sentence into a question when attached to the beginning of certain words.
— as a suffix (like the scenario of sarai), Suffixive Hey at the end of a noun "feminizes" it (allows it) to become fruitful and reproductive (although not always).
As God’s breath made a baby within Sara-h (like it happened in Mary), it changed her to be a completed woman (one who was fruitful) — represented by the letter "hey" at the end of her name, the letter hey at the end of her name revealed her true feminine (productive) nature.
The letter "H" (which represents the number five) in Hebrew represents a window of inspiration — and the thing about Windows is that they give you a broader (productive) view of what's on the other side.
So when Isaiah asked “Who are these who fly like a cloud, and like doves to their windows?" he meant,
— “who are these new creatures who fly like doves (a representation of the Holy Spirit) to (-wards, embracing) their windows (overwhelming God-given and graceful abilities)?”
God has caused all grace to abound towards you in the ministry, yours is to recognise and acknowledge the reality of these potentials. Let His supply whirl up joy inside you, let that be your window of inspiration as a spirit being (like the dove) in the ministry — don't look to man for help because that's the path of darkness (sure failure), look to Him (the Father of lights) and be radiant in your area of responsibility,
— Psalms 34:5 |NIV says “Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame”.
Always fly (think) towards God's window of inspiration — think from His grace (unending supply), never think less because little doesn't exist in the realm of grace, only plenty qualities to exist in grace. Meaning you have access to more than enough to fly so high in the ministry.
In Genesis 6:16 |AMP, God said,
“You shall make a (roof or) window [a place for light] for the ark and finish it to a cubit [at least 18 inches] above .... ”.
God instructed Noah to have only one window (of inspiration) on the Ark, and that it should be positioned at the top of the Ark (and not at the sides), so his eye (focus in his service to God) will be flooded with light (inspiration, thus inner respiration and life) amidst the boisterous storms and rolling billows
— Dear leader, let this wisdom appeal to you and distinguish yourself for ministry.
Never look to your left or right.
Look up!
